New beginnings... yet again

Wednesday, December 21, 2011

Here I find myself once again in a place that I wonder: how did I let it slip away. This year has been yet again another crazy year where nothing much has turned out as I have planned. I guess I need to accept that as my reality and instead of waiting for things to settle down, I need to embrace the craziness as my normal life and adjust what I need to adjust to get fitness back in my life.

We are pretty settled in our new home other than the pile of boxes in the garage which will be there for some time as my husbands niece and 4 yr old son are now living with us and it looks like it will be a bit longer than we had originally thought. So, the extra space I thought we would have did not happen and won't be for some time. So, I need to adjust my thinking and thought process to move forward with my life. This means changes that will not be easy to jump back into after being away from it for about 6 months. I had a knee injury that started the down hill trail and I just ended up trying to push through the pain and it came to a point I gave up and yes, walked away from fitness. Between work and it being so painful it was easy to do as i lost my motivation and spark connections that normally would have seen me through. I have kept my food not too bad, but no tracking which is the first thing I am going to start doing again as I need to start at the basics again to get a clear picture of where I am in order to set my goals of where I want to go. Sparkpeople was a big part of my journey and success and I know that this is my first step.
So, this girl is back and ready to do business!
Looking forward to reconnecting with old spark friends and meeting new ones.
