Realizations to Remember
Wednesday, January 04, 2012
I've been doing a lot of reflection to help me make 2012 the year that I get this weight journey under control. Here are a few of my realizations so that I can come back and revisit them whenever I need an extra boost.
1) Work outs always feel GOOD. ALWAYS.
~no matter how much I don't want to excercise, I always feel better about myself after I do it, even if it's just a small workout.
2) Wear clothes that fit, even at home.
~wearing baggy clothes around the house is sure comfy, but it also doesn't give me any motivation to change my body. even more, when I have to take them off and put on real clothes to leave the house, I feel even more chubby and frumpy than I would have otherwise felt.
3) Dress for success.
~putting on work out clothes first thing in the morning saves me from making excuses about the effort it takes to workout later in the day.
4) Variety is a must.
~when I get bored with a routine I need to simply change it and do something new, don't use boredom as an excuse to take a break.
5) There's a reason for this change.
~this weight loss journey wasn't chosen on a whim. It isn't to keep up with the Jones'. It's what needs to happen for a happy, healthy life. Not just for me, but for my husband and daughter. I want to be the best me that I can be for our future. The effort it takes to get there is worth all the sweat.
