Is it really a New Year already? My title here is meant to say, "There aint nothin' new here." Just the same old stuff about a new year, new goals, new motivation, new diet, new plan, etc. Or, more accurately, I should say, REnewed goals, motivation, plan, etc.

Sure, we're all pumped with yet another chance to succeed. Hope! That is the crux of it all. As long as we still have that hope, we are alive.

While I've been on SP for over three years now--seems like many more--I have been successful beyond my dreams. I love coming here, even sporadically anymore, and seeing the names of my friends. I'm happy to see so many have remained on SP and continue to work on their health goals. I flit around some of the Sparkpages and catch up with what's going on. But I have become more of a voyeur than a participant. For that I apologize.

I need to become accountable again. To myself, to a team, or just a friend. That means, I need to engage! So here I am engaging. Good luck to us all this year. I know we will have a banner year toward reaching our healthy lifestyle goals.

Happy Re-New Year, everyone!

Hi, Patty. Would love to hear more from you. Please re-engage! emoticon (Just a bit belated.)

One of my goals this year is to be more engaged, too. Seeing others' trials & successes is so motivating.

Like you, I've seen my commitment to SparkPeople vary over the 3 years I've belonged. Although I've also had a lot of success and find the support here unfailingly positive, sometimes life just seems to get in the way of spending time on the site. Good for you for recognizing when you need the accountability and support you can get here and finding your way back!
