Why Am I Doing a Blog?

Sunday, January 15, 2012

I'm blogging for my Winter 5% Challenge

What new habit do I wish to develop and how do I plan to do that?
I'm still working on it. Maybe working on procrastinating could be right up there. Cleaning up the spare room another.

What can we doto encourage ourselves to stay on track?
I usually track and stay within my calorie range but I need to stay in the lower range. Yesterday I was tired and not feeling great and ended up eating things I normally don't. Good healthy food would have been better but water and rest/sleep should have been the answer. Just thinking of the fact that I'll feel better and look better if I eat better will help encourage me plus going on vacation in April and getting a new swim suit.

I also want to try some different recipes. I keep saving recipes but not makiing them. If anyone has any good "flat belly" recipes let me know.

Gotta go finish inputting info and get some sleep. Have a great evening everyone.

Whatever keeps you going is the main motivator. I actually lost 8 lbs in December because I was focused on not going overboard with the food although I did on the drinking a bit. This was something I would not have done before. I am also sick with a cold now but as soon as I am well I will also focus on eating and staying healthy in 2012.

Excellent reflections! Even as tired as you were, you put effort into thinking and committing your thoughts to electrons to share with the rest of us.

Noticing how you felt and what you could do differently is great! Having goals for the future is good motivation. Now, get some sleep!

Great job getting in a blog and reflecting on things. It helps us focus more and set more clear goals for ourselves, and that's part of the process. You can do it!

I think that looking at what we enjoy can help motivate us int doing awesome things. You just have to find them and go with it. I like to dance so that's a motivator for me. Hope all goes well for you.
