Today I kicked off my C25K program. I'm doing it on the elliptical because I have one in my house and it feels like -4 out in Boston. In the 25 minutes I only managed to go 1.25 miles. While I guess this works as a jumping-off point, it's a little sad for me because I used to cover 2.5 miles or more in that amount of time. Ah well, I've been sedentary for awhile and I'm not 16 anymore. At least I can't help but improve on that distance.
In other news... I registered for spring semester and bought my textbooks over the weekend. Time to get reading again! I'll be in class on Tuesday nights after work, which will make for very long Tuesdays since they begin with a 7:30am meeting every week.
The one little time I spent on an elliptical to get a feel for how it works, it definitely takes more work to "travel" that mile than just walking does. 3330 days ago
