I Sneeze, therefore I pee (10-10-301 Rule)

I am at that yucky time in life- after having 4 kids and 45 years of gravity pulling on my innards- when any quick or sudden movement may cause me to wet my pants! I used to think that laughing til you peed meant laughing so hard! Now, even just a smirk gets me in trouble!!

My OB GYN gave me a new routine that I wanted to blog about...both to share it with anyone interested and to have a place where I know I will find it later!

The 10-10-301 Rule to help this problem:

Do a kegel exercise (yup- from pregnancy days!)
Hold it for 10 seconds....
Release it over 10 seconds....
Repeat this process 30 times
do it 1 x per day...


He did warn that I would have to build my muscle tone to achieve the 30 repeats...but he said doing this would build my muscles back up and help me avoid the embarrassing moments...and possible future surgery.
