Yesterday I had a 'core day'. All Abs all the time.

Holy cow. I thought I had torn something vital! emoticon My abs and obliques burned like NOTHING I had ever felt before. I wanted to cry, but I stuck it out and went to bed feeling accomplished! emoticon

But today I kept remembering the burn and being somewhat afraid of tonight's workout.

Then I remembered my favorite quote: "What is to give light MUST endure burning." It must endure the burn in order to do what it is meant to do. Core muscles must be trained and strengthened so that they will be there to support the body as we age. A weak core is back pain later on.

So endure now so that in later years you will not have too.

That is what I am telling myself today.

And with that here is a pict I whipped up. The image of fire and resolved waiting is how I feel. (it is unfinished, but I did not want to not post it today. Or I might forget.)

Awesome pic! I am having a hard time strengthening my core again, as there are so many exercises I am forbidden to do until after my reeval in May. Then I plan to burn baby burn.
