Measurements today!

Sunday, February 05, 2012

7.5 total inches lost this month (chest, hip, abdomen, waist)! Wish I'd started measuring in August, so I can know more than having dropped 2 sizes or so. Clothes sizes are so subjective! emoticon Heck of a small regret to have, I think. Also dropped another 3 pounds which is another hooray! emoticon

My next goal is the halfway mark. I have been there once before, then life the universe and everything dropped on me and I got most of it back. It will be good to be back to that low point and know that I will continue to go lower. However, there is a small superstitious thing sitting in the back of my mind as to whether or not my life will blow up again when I hit that point. I must do my best not to let that superstition sabotage what I have achieved so far.

Theoretically another 4-6 weeks to that point. That is a good interim goal to have. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Just be careful of that small superstition. If you dwell on it you will make it so much easier to self-sabotage if and when life blows up a bit.

Turn that little bugger in the back of your mind into a little super hero who is living back there just waiting for that moment to grow into a huge force powered by your own determination that will kick any thoughts of giving in to less than healthy behaviors should life dump a burning bag of dung on your doorstep.

You are doing so well...and you will continue to do great!

Yeah, I know that small superstitious thing: my "don't get cocky" when success comes my way comes from a decades long familiarity with it!

We can do this. We do not need to succumb to the superstition! We are worth taking care of, one day at a time!
