Giving up?

Wednesday, February 08, 2012

I want to lose weight, but I think I am ready to give up on it. My body looks pretty good since the surgery .. I know I would like to weigh 125 again.. but I don't think it is ever going to happen. I stay within my calories but it isn't doing anything for me. I can no longer run or do any real cardio because I have a stress fracture in my right leg. I have been doing push ups and crunches instead but obviously that doesn't burn many calories. So .. here I am.. 32 and stuck.. If I could even get to 132 I would be thrilled.

Well, if it would thrill you to get down to 132 than DON'T GIVE UP!

emoticon It will just take a little longer. I had rotator/cuff surgery two years ago. I did whatever the doc said I could. And with each visit got the okay to do a little more. It took a long time but I eventually lost over 30lbs and now have less than 10lbs to go. And yes, I been on a plateau for a very long time. I won't give up I will reach my goal! Join me!!!

That nasty emoticon , it displays a number that we tend to focus on way too much.
Think about why you started this journey. For me it was to lead a healthier lifestyle. yes I want the scale to go down, but the ultimate goal was to have a healthier lifestyle. That is not something that a person can quit.
