Day 4 & 5

Sunday, February 12, 2012

I was away from my computer yesterday, so I will blog for both days.
Yesterday's topic was "setting Boundaries instead of being on rigid diet.

First of all, I am a food addict. i know it. "Boundaries" doesn't work for me, because I wiggle out of it. I cannot tell my brain to be loose with my eating plan, because it doesnt work.
After reading this, it makes me think of alcoholics. So, for them, they could just have one drink sometimes and no drinks others? No way. LOL.

however, if I use this topic in a different way-- I don't HAVE to stay on Nutrisystem every day to lose. some days i can count calories and eat other food.
OR-- I CAN have an ice cream, if I count it..... These types of "boundaries" I could live with.

so with that being said, the assinment was to draw a line down a page and make the "rigid versus the lenient" version of the diet:

RIGID:
Commit to staying on NS food every day, no exceptions

LOOSER:
count the same amount of calories, but eat other foods when I need to or want to (on occasion).
I know this is NOT what the authoer meant, but like I said, my addictiion cannot allow for that.
Sorry--

Day 5 was creating a magic notebook where you could spill out your emotions...
This. is. it. i can't keep track of more than one blog....lol.
The book also suggested writing down your cravings and then leaving it on "the page" istead of eating whatever the food was.... This is possibly an interesting idea.
CHOCOLATE
PIZZA
PASTA
BEER

lol! j/k. But, a good idea and something I may start doing.
