1st workout in February

Yesterday was the first time I worked out in February. I rode the bike for 25 minutes and went 9.45 miles. I think I over did it!! I hadn't worked out for 23 days. First I had a bad cold, then something else came up...then it was the intestinal bug...need I go on??
If I don't work out early in the day or afternoon ...it just doesn't happen. If I wait and try to go after 5 pm, I am too tired or hungry to go. I am really hurting...especially my knees. And they we're getting so much better!! I really do need to get in the pool!! That has been a life saver for me. The bike is my land workout when I miss water aerobics or I add it to my pool workout...I mean on the same day. I don't ride the bike in the pool!! Wouldn't that be a sight!!
Any hoo, I have finally made it to the gym. That is the start for me to keep going. The hot tub sure felt great!! Then had a good conversation in the locker room. Saw a friend there and it had been awhile!!
Tracking food is on and off. I make an effort in the morning, but don't always finish up that night. I used to track everything I put in my mouth!! I tend to tend to get busy and tracking is too much work...or just doesn't happen at the end of the day. And I don't plan everything ahead of time. I know some people do...but I am not like that! I used to track and when I was out if calories and fat, I would quit eating. Not so anymore!! I just eat!!
Well, enough ranting about my poor exercise and eating!! It is a new day and everyday is a new opportunity to improve!!
