The glory of the grey T-shirt and sweat.

Friday, February 24, 2012

As long as I can remember......I am talking, even as far back as early 20's, at that time a smoker.......I could not sweat! Even on the hottest days of summer......regardless of whatever I was doing......I would not break out in a sweat. It just seemed like this was the way my body functioned. The only draw back to this little peculiarity of mine, was although I did not sweat, I did get hot.....My body would absorb all that heat and my face would just get redder and redder. I know several times I came very close to heat stroke.
So now.......here I am in my 50's, a non smoker, trying to get back in shape and lose some weight. I am logging my food....trying very hard to eat healthy and do as much exercising during the week as time allows. But one of the best things I have discovered.......is I can now Sweat!!! And I take great pride in this! Yesterday, I actually had a 5inch V spot in the front of my t-shirt. Still nothing under the arms or on the back yet.......but I have great hope that that will happen too in the future as I get healthier. I have even taken to wearing grey t-shirts when I work out, because that color seems to show it best. ;) Silly I know, but it makes me very happy that I am working hard enough that I get to sweat!

That is really interesting. What do you suppose has changed that? I think it's great, because I am like that sometimes. But I totally understand the grey t-shirt thing. You want to SEE how hard you worked, darn it! LOL! emoticon
