March 2012 Goals

Every month I'm going to check in and make several smaller goals to try to make improvements on a slow basis instead of trying to cram everything in all at once. I tend to be a perfectionist, and then I get burnt out. Smaller goals should be more achievable and less stressful.

1.) Drink 8 cups of water every day.

2.) Workout 3x a week at the gym, on home days do at least 10 minutes of any activity. (Crunches, Yoga, Step, Zumba)

3.) Really work on trying to stress less. Everything will all work out. It always does. Ask yourself: Will this really matter to me a year from now? Five years? Ten?

    This has been working for me. It's too much to have too many changes at once. Especially if you're going to track them. I had been doing this on my own since October, and got back into SparkPeople at the beginning of the year. I was so excited about all these mini-goals, but wanted to do them all at once then was disappointed when I couldn't!

    What's nice, is I'll have a goal set for a month, then at the end of the month I think to myself "Why stop now?" :) and just keep on going with them.
