Paper, Styro or The Good Stuff?

Saturday, March 03, 2012

Oh, my goodness I don't want to be late,
But I should use a regular plate.

There are round plates and square plates and ones that are thick,
If I must use these, I must be quick.

I like paper plates and the styrofoam too,
But I should use regular plates, it's the right thing to do.

I really like the styro plate, just grab it and go,
And when I'm finished eating, all I have to do is throw.

I have plates with strawberries and flowers and such,
All of that is never too much.

I like my pretty plates and fancy ones too,
Oh well, I can grab a paper one, that will do.

Does food taste the same on styro or glass?
Maybe it does, but one of them has so much more class.

I've decided not to replenish all the paper and styro which are so quick,
Besides, I like the fancy ones that I can give a lick.

Using a regular plate, makes me feel so good,
Just like I knew that it would.

I'll keep my styro and paper on hand,
But I think I'll use the good stuff, to make me feel grand.

When are you going to publish some poems? Magazines like Good Housekeeping, etc. would pay you for those neat poems.
Try it and see what happens. Maybe you should get an agent.

That poem was adorable. We should never Save our good dishes for "special" occasions. Every day is a gift from God, and should be celebrated as such. I loved your poem. You are quite a poet!
