Week 10 - SO MAD!

I have no idea what happened, but I gained 3.5 lbs this week! I dont get it, I seriously dont. I exercised 4 or 5 times this week....really good cardio workouts and did strength 3 days. I was in within my calories every day except one, and went over by 300 calories the one day....so nothing crazy. I didn't binge, I didn't overeat, I stuck to good portions, I didn't have any baking or junk. WTF!

I'm so upset, seriously upset.

I'm not giving up. I'm going to keep working at it, it's just seriously frustrating that I have to work on these 3.5 lbs AGAIN! Guess I should go take the lost 20 lb picture off my page emoticon

    Thanks for the support everyone, I truly appreciate it. As of today, I've lost 2.5 of those 3.5 lbs, so maybe it was water retention or something else. It was just weird because it wasn't a 3.5 lb jump over night, I gained little by little all week long, which was very frustrating.

    I ate very good yesterday, very little salt, drank a ton of water, and went on the elliptical for a bit, and saw a nice drop today, so I'm feeling better. I'm glad I keptbeing persistent, I cant tell you how badly I wanted to binge because I "was gaining anyway, might as well eat real good". That's what I would have done in the past, so I'm proud that I just pushed through. Hopefully that other pound comes off just as easy (with another one or two...lol).

    I feel your frustration! No worries, just get back in the saddle. Increase your water, just in case high sodium is causing water retention. Make sure you are getting enough rest. Make sure your internal movements are regular, too. (I know, tmi, but you don't want the scale to reflect unexpelled waste weight.)

    Sorry to hear about that. It cam be frustrating when the scale does not reflect the hard work that you're putting into your weightloss. I felt the same way this week. I worked out so much and was watching my diet, but the scale wasn't budging. I ended up overeating on Saturday out of frustration. But I feel that I am back on track again. So don't give up on yourself. Keep up the good work. emoticon

    Bummer to hear that. Im still new to all this so I cant explain it. all I can say is dont give up, keep up the good work, stay focused, and watch what you eat. emoticon

    Awe, Hon, I'm so-o-o sorry. Sometimes you just don't understand, I've had that happen myself. However, 3.5 pounds can be explained. Perhaps, your foods were salty and there's some water retention? You've been exercising quite a bit, and you know that muscle weighs more than fat. Read all the articles on Spark, they're quite informative in this regard. Then, the intestinal tract could be full. All in all, as long as you do not gain actual fat, and how could you being so good, than all will fall into place next weigh in. If you walk the walk change will happen. Believe it!!!
