Help- Plus Size Running Jacket?

Thursday, March 15, 2012

I have been looking everywhere and I can't seem to find a simple jacket I can wear while out walking. I'm just looking for a really lightweight wind and rain proof type jacket that would be a size 22/24 ish. Preferably with a hood and an inside zip pocket for my iphone.

Any suggestions? I've tried all of the following: Macys, JCPenney, Sears, Junonia, LadyFootLocker, Lane Bryant, Kmart, Fred Meyer...

Thank you for the suggestions everyone! I actually found a couple of shops online that had some plus sized Columbia and North Face jackets and the old school store Blair has some plus sized jackets, too, at really reasonable prices. Now I just need to wait for them to ship!

    Have you tried REI?

We have the flagship store here that seems to have *everything*.

I found some tech shirts (3x) in my size there....on sale.

How frustrating to not be able to find larger sizes. It's ironic that it's so hard to find good clothes to workout in for plus size people. Have you tried www.onestopplus.com under active wear? They have jackets in your size. I've gotten bras from them before and been pleased. Plus, there are reviews from others that I find helpful.

    I hope you find something!

Fashion Bug may have some. And I actually got one for my mother at Target a few years back, and I got one for myself at walmart. But I think with those stores it is just the luck of the draw!
