A week some might consider wasted...

This has NOT been a week of grand achievement and awesome workouts; some might consider the fact that I ate out 4 times this week sinful, but for nearly 7 months now I have been single minded in effort to get healthy. Will this week go down as one of stellar milestones? No, but it did provide for me one thing and that one thing was a week of refreshment. I had come to a critical point, one that I had been to far too many times in my life. In the past when I got to the point of burn out, it was also the point where I gave up and reverted back to the way things used to be. This time was different. I have learned in my nearly 60 years that no matter what you do that there are times when you need a respite....a time to just chill and relax. I never used to take vacations...now I do because once I did take one I realize how much better things were after. It's no different with my efforts to become a healthier version of me. The great thing is even though I took a break, I ate better than I ever used to, exercise a little and I feel ready again to renew that singular focus to finish strong and lose the final 35 pounds to my goal weight. A wasted week? I think not!

    Excellent blog, yet again! So often we think we must, we must, we must, eat 100% right, exercise at 100% etc... and this is what causes the failure. I think you are on the right track! Keep up the good work! emoticon
