Week 4 Recap of Results

After 3.5 weeks of wonderful success...I met my first really big hurdle...Easter Chocolate! I was able to hold it together well enough...until about Sunday afternoon...and then I just caved...and I caved in a little bit more each day. This is the one facet that makes this diet very difficult for me, yet very necessary.
I am not a person who has learned to eat in moderation. That will come in time as I relearn good habits. But last week showed me that I do not have the strength to say- just one piece of candy, just one treat. That is what I like about Atkins- it is very strict, and it does not allow me to eat my trigger foods. So until I can learn balance and moderation, I need the strict guidelines this diet offers. I am sure that is why I have had success in the past and in the last few weeks- because I do not have much decision making to do right now. I pick foods off of a list and eat only those!
As I blog here, I am almost through with week 5 already...and today is the day I will really try to get back on track with no more cheating so I can start moving forward again! Plus, I think that since last Sunday, I have eaten all the chocolate in the house!!
