I can't wait until I can have some attractive womanly curves... not the curves that are made out of the excess fat on my body that gives me a muffin top over my jeans. I want the real stuff and I want to feel good and look great!

I just got back from my local Curves location. I think I'm really going to like it there! At first I didn't see exactly how their circuit would really impact me but after I got done with my 30 minutes, I could really feel it! They work ALL areas of your body from your toes to the tip of your head (and everywhere in between!). Now if I can only convince my sister or a friend to go with me. =) They play music to make it enjoyable and you switch every 30 seconds to a different machine (or resting pad, whatever is next). I was sweating by the time I got done. You do the circuit twice and then you stretch real good.

I got a free week so I'm going to take my free week and make the best of it! I'm also going to start my running exercise with my sister next week so hopefully between both of them, I'll start getting a bit more fit and gain some of my energy back!

On another note, I am on day 5 of no pop and going strong! I've forced myself to cut back the other surgery substitutes that are just as bad for you to one or two a day and focus on water, water, water! It tastes nasty but I am determined to like it... some day. The more I push, I know the better I'll be!

Thanks for all the support and encouragement I've received from my new friends here! I would not be anywhere near as motivated if it wasn't for you guys!

    I love going to Curves! I enjoy the people that are at my club and the fact that if you vacation and a Curves is there you can still get a work out.
    Congrats on giving up pop, I know it's a challenge in itself, but it does get easier!

    Congrats on the pop thing! I understand what it's like to crave sweet beverages! If I let myself I would probably only drink apple cherry juice (my fav). Luckily I like diet pop. It's a good choice for you to just focus on water if you don't like diet drinks. Maybe it's God's way of getting you to drink plain water- he works in mysterious ways emoticon

    Obiesmom2, I didn't even think about adding lime or lemon to the water. That seems so simple... and here I go, over thinking things as always. =) I'll have to try it and see how it works!

    What do you think about those Mio water enhancers? Do you think you are still getting the full benefit of water by adding those in or do you think it takes something away?

    I've always been a water drinker. Have you dried adding lemon or lime?

    It's also really good with sliced cucumbers. Lots of spas do that (I've heard), but I had it at a rehearsal dinner for a friend's wedding. She had one of those glass water jugs with water, ice, and sliced cucumbers in it.

    hope you can find a w/o partner, but if not...don't let that stop you! I've had several people tell me they'd walk or run with me, but they bail more often than not. I'm losing the lbs & inches...they are finding them.
