training- excuses or not.

Monday, April 30, 2012

I am going through a funk again. I have no time to run anymore unless it means getting up early and running on the dreadmill. With the girls both on softball teams I have no time at night to run outside, whether it is practices til 8:30 and not home til 9:00 and eating dinner or a game with the same situation. I haven't been getting til bed til after 10:00 and we have tournaments almost every weekend. This last weekend we were gone from Saturday at 8:30 am til 5:30 Sunday and that was because it was rained out. I love that my daughter is on a winning team this year, but it leaves less time for me to run. I am so exhausted from the weekends I can't get my butt out of bed during the week to run. Excuses - I don't know...maybe I just need to wait awhile til we aren't so crazy....

Pam, if I were you I would wait until you feel you are ready. Your girls are at that age where they are on the go 24/7. If it is too challenging to get your training in and it is making you miserable...wait. Running should be fun and not a chore. Please wait until you have the time so running is a magical and genuine activity for you.
