10-Minute Fitness Club Challenge

I like a fun, rewarding challenge.... 4 weeks ago, I took-up one of the SparkPeople Message Board challenges, the 10 Weeks/10 Pounds Challenge. I figured it was doable and rewarding. Well, 4 weeks later, I've lost a total of 3 pounds... Yes yay me, but I can't deny I'd hoped to see a little more total lost than that. I'm definitely not discouraged but I do think I could use a bit more of a challenge as well as a bit more of accountability!
Hence, I joined this team yesterday... during my lunch break at work, lol! I already had plans for the evening so I knew I wouldn't be able to get a workout in if I didn't do SOMETHING before I left work. I wasn't prepared to 'work-out' but I was DETERMINED to start yesterday. So I reviewed the Spark Videos section and decided on (2) 6-minute videos -which I promptly did, in the privacy of my office during my afternoon break, lol! Yay me!

My goal is to lose an overall total of 20 lbs but I want to do it slowly, a few 'chunks', or goals at a time -to help keep me focused, motivated, and positive. I've had my share of crash diets that overwhelm me with deprivation and absurd meals/ingredients that I can never see to fruition! But I also want to (and need to) focus on my overal health. Recently diagnosed with high cholesterol means a whole new attitude towards food, health and quality of life!! So this 4-week challenge is one of those 'chunks' and I intend to win!
I'd love to see myself successfully thru this challenge, earn my trophy, and hopefully pick up some new lifelong habits and commit to a healthier lifestyle!
