New job, more time to focus on healthy lifestyle choices

I am a single mom that has worked two jobs for over a year now. A lot of the times, my food is grabbed while running out the door, or whatever is convenient. I have started packing my lunch and taking it into my day job with me, but sometimes I run out of time in the morning and end up not packing. I always try to be in bed by 11:30 and have to be up by 7 in the morning. After getting the kids to bed, working on a few chores and showering, once 11:30 hits, I force myself to go to bed in order to get enough rest. Sooo...I have finally made a decision to leave the less paying job, and take a few more shifts with the higher paying job. It leaves my days free and less temptation (I am hoping) to just grab and run with convenience foods that often aren't good for me. Now I will be able to meal plan much better, especially with summer right around the corner, and all the fresh fruits and veggies available!! I have been wanting to leave the one job for quite some time now, but felt like I was being disloyal having been that I have worked there for almost 12 years now. RIGHT now is my time though, and the notice has been given, this saturday is my last day. It will be bittersweet, but definitely a step in the right direction. Time to make more time for me.
