I KNEW it!!!! I just KNEW it!!! ARRGGHHHH!!!!

Friday, June 01, 2012

Some of you may recall that back in October/November I went to Disney and wore my BodyBugg and was going to report on steps and physical activity while away. More just to see how crazy high my steps would be.

Well, as you may also remember, before I could upload the data from my BodyBugg, I lost it!

So, about 2 months ago I decided to buy a replacement after hours on hours of searching.
I decided on the BodyMedia as it was the same makers and provided me with a bit more info than my BodyBugg did, like sleep.

I also bought my 11 year old one. We both love it and wear it daily...oh, I digress...

So anywhoooo.....

after spending a small fortune replacing it and the subscription, I have FOUND the damn BodyBugg!

It was lodged in my car, between a carpet and the emergency break.

I really don't think there is an emoticon to express how I am feeling right now!!!

Anyway...if anyone wants a s used, not overly pretty, but works GREAT (if you don't lose it!) BodyBugg, I may be looking to unload it!

Looks like you have an interested buyer, but if that falls through let me know. I would be very interested. Justyna

Don't you just hate losing the good stuff.
I hate it with a passion. I had the best walk mate tracker in the world, and lost it.
Silly me dropped it in the door of my car. Then my mom used my car, and didn't know it was in the door of the car. Well, the thing must have popped out during the opening and closing of the door. Who knows... Yeah! Tell me about it. There is no emoticon that can show how I feel, but this one sums it up pretty darn good. emoticon emoticon ... When my mom learned how much it cost. She goes. Something will be under the emoticon I'm still looking for the box. Any christmas now. Any Christmas! She flipped when she learned it cost me 79 dollars. LOL! It was on sale a few months back, and I was too mad to break down and buy the darn thing. I just said. The heck with it. I'll get on with the cheap-o until I feel like breaking down and getting one again myself. Just my luck. My mom will have it under the christmas tree. LOL!

I hope someone takes it off your hands, but back up is better than no back up.

That would be terrific! I had to look it up, but does sound like the sort of thing I'm hoping to get someday. How much do you hope to get for it? Too bad you replaced it before you found it.. but maybe you're happier with the new kind you got?

    Hi Annie;

Glad you found it so you could get the info off it. I had my OMRON on and was taking my weekly trash to my BIL dumpster and then I came home and took the compost slop to it, cover it with leaves and branches so the dogs don't get in it. Go in and was going to write down the miles and steps so I could do a walk and it was gone. I look everywhere and back to my BIL's and walked all over the yard but had to quit because it was getting dark and flash light was not doing the job. Got out one of the old ones and tried to get it to work. Next day went out again and this time tore apart the top of the compost and there it was under the leaves. I hate to loose things and I will hunt high and low till I hope I find it sometimes don't.

Keep doing what you do to be healthy and love life. God bless you always.

    Smile Joyce

I think that it is some crazy cosmic phernomone, that once you have given up on finding something and replace it you find the first one. emoticon I'm glad you found it and I wish you the best of luck finding a buyer. emoticon

Isn't that annoying!? My husband can look exactly where I have searched and find anything usually (except my mom's hearing aids lately! haha) But those suckers must be costly! Grr. I'm on the mission of clearing out stuff for the yard sale tomorrow and finding stuff I forgot I ever lost!! How sad is that? haha. Sorry it had to cost ya more!

I have lost .. then found so many things I'm embarrassed !
I have began to think there is an alternate universe that borrows my stuff and then spits it back out when they are done with it.

That's usually how things go, you lose something, look high and low for it for hours, days, weeks. Then decide the point is useless, buy antoehr one, and Voila, you find it!

At least you got the updated model! Coudl you not transfer the subscription for the 1st to the new one?

You didn't happen to see my MP3 player in there did ya? lol Glad you found it.

Did you see my missing ipod there?

I actually was thinking of replacing it since they have gone down so much in the price... but sheesh... it's in the house somewhere! emoticon

I wonder if that's where my rec center pass is? In your car, lol. Or mine, take your pick. I guess I'll find it now that I've had them replace it. In a separate but related incident, I left my purse in the grocery cart when I left the grocery store parking lot last night. Don't ask me how someone takes their keys out of their purse, takes the cart back to the cart pen and then walks off without the purse. I need a keeper!

Thank goodness I work in an affluent neighborhood...purse was turned in to the store by a kindly woman who apparently had no need for my credit cards, iPhone or Kindle. emoticon

Sorry about your BodyBugg...hopefully you can unload it. I bought mine off craigslist in the beginning. Idea for you.

That happens to me all the time, but usually it's my phone, and I have my boyfriend call it until I find it! Sorry that happened, but now you have a backup!

I say raffle it off and challenge the new owner to a "Bugg-Off!!! Find some poor, unsuspecting neighbor, relative, co-worker, child to "Win" it!! OR a stocking stuffer , same motive we give fruitcakes, paybacks!! Get another person healthy!!!

I think that one spot in the car (between the two front seats where the emergency brake sits) has to be the same kind of void zone for losing things as the washing machine is for socks.
    3097 days ago
How in the world did it get caught there, LOL!
Really, you aren't mad. You knew it would turn up one day.
And I'm 100% sure you'll find at least 1 person who'd take it off your hands. emoticon

PS: Don't forget to tell us how that step count turned out.

Well, shucks. Can't you convince somebody else in your family to wear it? Of maybe a BFF and you could drum up some friendly competition for steps or something over the summer?
