I am slowly climbing back on the wagon...

Sunday, June 03, 2012

Lordy, it is taking FOREVER for me to find my spark. I think the fact that I am unhappy with my current job is stressing me out a lot more than I thought it was. Today I decided to return to my seasonal job come winter because I am infinitely happier there. So now I'm going to try and use that decision to return as motivation to get back on my weight-loss wagon! My summer challenge team must wonder where the heck I've been, and today I've joined the Wii Fit team's African Safari challenge. Amazing Race was ahhhmazing last summer and I have high hopes for this challenge to motivate me. Twenty pounds will be shed from this body by fall.

Do you hear that, fat? Be afraid.

I'm going to break up my goals into categories. I'm a list-oriented person so even though it looks crazy and seems silly, I love to lay out even little tasks that I can check off. I'll have a goal related to SP, one to exercise, one to nutrition, one to personal care, and one to crafts/hobbies/other.

Log in to SP every day (MTWTF)
Work out for at least 10 minutes each morning (MTWTF)
Track food daily (MTWTF)
Shower by 7pm every night (MTWTF)
Sew 10 sweaters (OOOOOOOOOO)

Shazam! I will do this if it kills me. I don't care how long it takes to become healthy me. I know how awesome it feels to eat right and exercise and it's frustrating that I can't make myself get there again. I really think this job thing will be a breakthrough for me. Summer, let's do it.

Congratulations for getting back up there!!

I get the nutrition and personal goals.

What are you doing that requires you to sew 10 sweaters? Are these for personal use or will you donate/gift these sweaters? Yes, that is something measurable. Just curious; not judging.

I guess I'm a little jealous that I don't have time to get back to my passion for paper crafts. That's been on hold ever since I went back to work, had my son, got active with our church and everyday household management take up my time.
