Weekend Wrap-up
Monday, June 04, 2012
Everything about this weekend was great. The only sad part is it's over and there's a whole 5 days until another one rolls around.
Friday night I worked out at the gym, packed for my trip to Yosemite, and then went and hung out with some friends for a couple hours.
Saturday was the day trip to Yosemite that my Aunt put together. I can't believe it's only 3 hours away and I've never been. It was amazingly beautiful, I couldn't stop taking pictures of everything. Look at this place:
So we had 16 people in our group total. We lunched, we explored the visitor center, walked to Lower Yosemite Falls, and then ended our day with dinner together at a restaurant on the way home. The best part was climbing on the rocks below the falls getting as close as possible. I did it all in my Vibram Fivefinger shoes too.
The family:
Got there in my Vibrams.
Me at the Lower Yosemite Falls (we climbed up those rocks to the bottom of the falls)
It was one of the happiest days I've had in a long time. The whole time I felt absolutely no worries, no stress, not thinking about problems in life; just truly enjoying the experience, the good company, and being somewhere so beautiful.
Today (Sunday) was a resting day. I didn't even get home until 1 am last night. So I slept late, did laundry, uploaded pictures to share with family, watered my garden, and took a long afternoon nap.
