Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition is back!!!

Tuesday, June 05, 2012

I don't have a TV anymore, the only shows I watch are what's free on Hulu or Netflix. Most shows are over for until Fall, so I was surprised to see the return of one of my favorite shows, Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition. Have you watched it? Do you like it?

It's the only weight loss show that I watch. Competition shows really turn me off, don't like them and won't watch them. EM:WLE focuses on one person who is super obese for an entire year. They work with Chris, the trainer, and on their own and it shows their progress and their struggles. This first episode of season 2 was amazing, he is a true inspiration to anyone working to improve their health.

If you've never seen the show, I think you should give it a try. Tell me what you think, like it or not.

My personal update. Ate within my calorie range. Went to the gym after work and did some cardio and a little weight training (for the first time in months). Stepped on the scale and my weight was 196.0, last week it bounced between 196.6-198. A little triumph, a little motivation to keep up what I'm doing.

This show has me wondering what kind of transformation I could see in a year of constant work.

I watched it when it first came on and I'm glad to see it back. Watching everything Tony went through and he still lost 204#! Wow! I was crying all the way through the episode. He looked absolutely fabulous!

This first episode of season 2 had me crying like a baby, during like 5 or 6 parts.
