I'm about to go to bed. Just trying to blog every day of the week to keep up with my progress and keep myself accountable.
Tonight I ran for the first time in a couple weeks. I developed a serious pain in my ankle from running in my Vibram Five Finger shoes. I really should have taken their advice and only started with 10% of my run with the shoes, adding an additional 10% each week. Instead I just did everything in them and ended up in serious pain. SO, two weeks off and instead I've been doing cardio at the gym and last night even some weight lifting.
Tonight I restarted (again) the Couck to 5k program. I have a great app on my Android phone that keeps me going. I just love this program and had a lot of success following it last year. So it was just day 1 but I ran/walked for 28 minutes and about 1.8 miles. I wore my regular old beat up shoes for this, I'll start working into my Vibrams again though soon.
