The Need To Spark

Saturday, June 09, 2012

I took this picture on May 5th. It was the last time I exercised.

On the way home from this amazing hike, a stop that was out of my normal routine ended up changing the course of our family's life.

That is a blog for later (I'm hoping this week).

But going through some pictures on my phone today, I found this flower, and it reminded me of my personal goals - the ones that compliment getting to live out the big life one - the daily little goals that keep me moving.

Time for exercise (at least the kind I've like doing) has been non-existent, and I haven't yet adjusted my routine to find other things I can do in the small amount of time I have left every day.

I know that May and June are out of the norm because we are trying to so much in a such a limited amount of time, but I also know that I feel the absence (of exercise, of 6 small meals, of water, of sleep) - and that my health is fading as a result.

In a word, I feel far too "soft".

I hope you enjoy this picture as much as I do, I think for awhile I'll make it my profile to help remind me.

Spark On!

PS - if you missed my status update last week, we bought a bookstore!

Wow--a bookstore! That's awesome! I have been thinking of you and wondering how things were going. Well, these things are changes that we need to learn to re-create our lives around, aren't they? You see the need, and though life is not dealing you a lot of time to take care of it, I have confidence that you will.

Good luck with you new store!!!

And I love the flower. :-)

    A bookstore? ;-)
    I love books, too!

Do you have any kind of healthy habits about exercise?
Mine is to do 10 min exercise every day, no matter what. First, I started with 30 day trial, then I decided to keep it.
