Rocked the Lake Front!

Sorry I didn't blog yesterday. It wasn't a slip up, it was EXHAUSTION!
Yesterday, I met a Spark Buddy over in Hyde Park. We walked up the lakefront trail farther than I've ever made it. It really wasn't hard as we were chatting and moving the whole time. Stopping a McCormick place for the "little girls room" almost slowed us done. Neither of us realized how hot we were until we walked into the AC. We ended up making it all the way to the Museum campus and headed over to Buckingham fountain for lunch. It was great eating at the fountain as I haven't been there in years. We shared some stretching and then a great lunch. We didn't finish all of the food we brought with. We ended up feeding our raisins to some very curious squirrels.
We walked all the way back to Hyde Park. It was great but the last 2 miles were a real struggle. We actually got quite quiet. We laughed that it was because we were pouring everything we had into the walk. We met up with my hubby and he drove her home (neither one of us could go another step). Great hubby!
We ended up doing almost 15 miles. It was great.
Then I realized it was Saturday and the only day we have to do errands. So I ended up doing another 2 miles at wally mart and the grocery store. I was walking like I was about 95 by the time we got home. We watched about an hour of TV and I went to bed.
All in all it was a great day. I know I was going to have fun, I've been looking forward to this for over a month (this was the same buddy I got rained out on in May). What a great place this is to provide the means to have a day like that!
