Surgery and Thursday in Review

Friday, June 15, 2012

I had another good day yesterday; KNOWING I'm going to be reporting my results is keeping me on the straight and narrow! I appreciate your support as I write another totally boring blog.

Thursday results:

Calories burned: 2,324
Calories consumed: 1,440
Calorie deficit: 884
Steps taken: 12,156
Intentional Exercise: 75-minute Power Pump class; 2 miles in 33 minutes on the treadmill

It is interesting that with the Power Pump class I burned 2,324 calories for the day but on Wednesday when I took the Step Aerobics class I burned 2,650. Yes, I would say INTENSE EXERCISE DEFINITELY COUNTS!

I purposely ate at the higher end of my range yesterday because I am having surgery today. It is outpatient and relatively minor although I will be anesthetized. I am having hardware taken out of my ankle that was put in 5 years ago when I broke my ankle. I haven't been able to eat or drink anything since midnight, and my surgery isn't until 1 pm! Hopefully I'll eat least lose a few pounds outta this deal!

Have a great Friday, everyone!

Even though you might not feelike exercising the bottom half you can still do stuff with the top half. Shadowboxing, st for shoulders and back, rowing machine with feet on floor. Because grrl, you got some deficits and it sounds like you want to keep it up.

I was busy Friday, and didn't see this until Saturday morning -- hope all is well as you recuperate from a successful surgery! FOLLOW YOUR DOCTOR'S ORDERS, and rest up -- don't overdo. It'll just land you back in the hospital.

Enjoy the beautiful summer weather -- and stay in touch as you can.

Good job on getting yourself measured and I don't find your reports boring. Rather they are encouraging me to get moving!!

Good luck on that surgery and be sure to do EXACTLY WHAT THE DR. SAYS.

We want a speedy but full recovery from you!
