Father's Day - Part 1
Sunday, June 17, 2012
We were supposed to go to my sister's house for a BBQ for Father's Day. Last minute excuses (as usual), so I told my dad I would take him to lunch. I took him to Tilted Kilt. I know that place has a somewhat less than desirable reputation. However, it has the most awesome black bean burger. And dad is a beer man, so they have a good selection of beers on draft.
Then we took his 66 Chevelle SS Convertible out driving. He loves that car! He can't resist a jump off the line. It wasn't the best idea in the world for my neck. But he had a great time and to me that's all that matters.
So, I'm home now. All day and only 2,000 steps. I'm hungry and my neck/back are killing me again. Add a raging headache from the sun (we had the top down). I love my dad but he really encourages bad decision making. At least I didn't give in to the beer and smokes! I guess it is funny that my DAD is one of my bad influences.
I'm going to go try to have a healthy dinner and get some extra sleep. I have the Cubs/Sox game with dad on Tuesday (part 2 of father's day). I hope I can make it through that without giving in too badly.
Hope everyone haa good day.
