As a 9 year melanoma survivor, fighting for a cure for cancer is my way of giving back. A couple of weeks ago, I volunteered for registration at our annual OutRun the Sun fundraiser, and this weekend was our local Relay for Life.

It was hot-the dunk tank was a major money raiser-not for dunking people, but for the kids who paid to be dunked! Met alot of old friends and a few new ones. We hit our goal and had a rain-free, tornado-free Relay this year. Here's a few pictures!

Silly Safari brought a bull frog, falcon, dog, an alligator, and a python out for the kids.

Tucking a buck for a vote for the Miss Relay contest winner!

And while the luminaria ceremony is always my favorite, this one says it all!

Thank you for all you do to fight cancer. My Mom is a uterine cancer survivor and was just diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a lumpectomy 3 weeks ago and starts radiation next week.

Love the letter to Dad! Congrats on your fight against cancer! My son is also a cancer survivor and is 21 now. He was diagnosed at 10. Glad to see other Spark members are walking at the Relay too!
