A letter to myself

Dear Emily, I thought I would write to you.
I just wanted to say how proud I am of you for taking on the initiative of finding a new job. Congratulations on being hired. I know this is scary for you, because the last job you felt really proud of, you were fired from. But I sincerely believe you have grown and learned a lot since then. All you have to do is try the best you can. This job is really just care taking, and that is what you do best.
I also want to say that I am so happy that your medication is working for you. It has been a life long struggle and I am glad you finally realized that medication is not bad. For those who judge you because of it, pay them no attention. It is your business and most of them will never know or understand. That is okay.
Finally, I have to say something of an urgent matter. You have got to start taking your health journey more seriously. It is kind of an off-and-on again life preoccupation. Which is not good at all. You are a fighter and you must fight for this! This is not a side project. This is your main project.
You have been putting off a lot of things that need to be done. Just do them! They are important! You will feel better without all this weight on your shoulders. Also, stop spending money aimlessly. You know better. So shape up!
I love you. You are worthy and capable. Thank you so much for all the hard work. Your past does not have to define you, but it can give you the motivation to fight. You are strong. You are brave. You can face the world with the love you give yourself.
Love you biggest fan,
