Week one done!

Week one is over and I lost 1.4 lbs. emoticon I was actually surprised because I had been going too low on calories for a few weeks before starting and I thought my body would take time to adjust and not lose as much at first.


More workouts than previously

Less workouts than planned
Not on target all days on macros
Caved and had one beer - dh working so I gave myself a relax night with bubble bath, beer, and book.

Goals for next week:

1 lb
min 3 cardio workouts
min 3 yoga workouts
min 3 weight workouts

I'm going to plan my meals better this week. I have to make sure that dh is on board with what I'm planning for the next nights dinner so I'm not making changes during the day and having to try to adjust my log accordingly to fit it all in my macros.

I'd like to try and get some extra movement in by walking on the treadmill when I am just watching tv during the day. I did this a couple of times this week and I think that made up for some of my missed cardio workouts. It was a rough week because Chris worked late a couple of nights so we didn't get planned workouts in.

I feel good though. I'm on the right path. This is what worked before so it feels good to get back to it. As I'm moving through my days I am already thinking about how I will have to adjust for when classes start again on Aug 29. I tend to obsess about my grades so all the past year I put getting those As above all else including my health. I am determined to find more balance in all areas so I am constantly keeping that in my mind and find myself chanting inwardly "balance... balance... balance..." So while I am very disappointed that I caved to the beer, I'm also looking at that as a moment I chose balance. Many weeks before I would have had that beer with some snack with it. Then I probably would have also hadd a beer or two on Friday night. That night I walked on the treadmill for 1 hour while I watched tv, then had the beer, took a bubble bath and cuddled up for a good read. It fit into my calories with adjustments. And I also thoroughly enjoyed it instead of just mindlessly drinking it and grabbing another.
