Change of Plans

I think I may have changed my mind about intentionally eating gluten this weekend. I felt off and itchy all day so I spent my lunch break looking at what I ate yesterday to see if anything had gluten in it. Sure did. I had some truffles in the refrigerator that were a gift from one of my kids and last night I finally opened them. I was only thinking about the fact that I had quite a few calories to eat and didn't check the ingredients. Online I found that they do indeed contain gluten. My chest and skin have felt itchy most of the day and I am ready for bed 2 hours earlier than usual. I wonder if there is a connection? Still haven't heard from the insurance company to get the final info on our insurance. I really want to talk to the nurse to get her advice on eating gluten before seeing the doctor. I go between wanting the official diagnosis and just thinking that since going GF has helped so much to just keep with it. Of course it could be something else. All I know is that I haven't been this tired in a long time, except after a night of no sleep.

If you feel better being gluten free, please stay gluten free. Like others have said we know our own bodies better than the doctors do. Yes, when I eat gluten--not on purpose, I get itchy and also my stomach hurts. It is so better to stay Gluten-Free!

I've told you that I have a messed up gallbladder, guess what the doctors have said about it? that it's fine. that there is no reason why I can't eat what I want. so if you going GF is making you feel better ... then you go with that not what the doctors have to say. You can have a gluten intolerance that will not sure up on any test, but your own body test. (by that I mean how you feel) Me? I would stay GF. Just saying.
    Hope you have great day!

Don't give all the credit to the dr. either, we do know our own bodies, and if you know for sure that you feel better GF... go for it...

Did you ask about getting a blood test instead of whatever they want to do? I suggest asking them about the procedure now so you know ahead of time what they plan to do.
