Why should I take time out of my day to Spark....

Hello!

This is TRIANGLE-WOMAN and I've set up the page for my husband. I have NOT told him about this yet, but I'm hoping to get some fellow Sparkies to leave him a note and tell him why THEY Spark.

Time is his big issue (read excuse!) so please share your reason for taking time out of your busy day to Spark and be Sparked!

Thanks for your time and input.

I will edit this intro to welcome him and surprise him with this page early next week. I know he will have fun reading all your comments and perhaps, if I'm lucky, you can Spark him to join me on this quest!!

    This is the Actual Latrant! (Not Triangle-Woman, my DW!).

    Thought I'd say hello and thanks for posting. I know my DW thinks I've abandoned the idea, but 60 hour work week, call above that and travel time 75 miles away makes it hard to fit in blogging/responding.

    I appreciate all of my DW and your efforts to get me interested in the Spark World. I sit in front of computers all day reading MRI's, CT's, X-rays, Mammograms, Ultrasounds, etc and it is hard to find time to go to any site let alone SparkPeople.

    My 23 years in the Army, exercise was part of the schedule/day or at least the top 3 on the list. Now, its about coverage and efficiency and, I hate to say it, revenue. There are always good and bad things with every endeavor, job or website. I don't know that I'll be here daily but at least weekly.

    Hi there!

    SparkPeople has helped motivate me and educate me to a healthier lifestyle. I have lost 73 lbs so far. I don't feel deprived. I feel stronger and have more energy. I am happier with myself and much much healthier. My blood pressure is down to normal and my blood tests all came back with good news.. cholesterol was low, too! I enjoy little bits of exercise at a time. The key is to find things you like to do that you can stick with. I get up and dance to 3 or more songs. I like to hula hoop (you need an adult sized hoop you can get onilne) and I like to walk my dog. That's about it.

    SparkPeople has the fitness tracker and food tracker that are essential to staying accountable to yourself. It has the community and virtual support network there to find. It is worth the money.. oh way.. it's FREE, too! ;) What could be better? Healthy, fun, and free!!!

    Sparking helps to remind me that I'm not alone in my journey. Other members (like your wife) inspire me to push on, even though I don't feel like it. Since March I've trained and completed a 10K, and I've added lots more fruits and veggies to my diet. But I also have some new friends! Welcome to Spark People!

    i will answer this from experience: you need to do this for you - but having your best friend, your ULTIMATE motivator on here with you and at your side makes things 10,000% better/easier/doable.

    Trust me.

    I was on spark for a LONG time before my husband joined (I don't think he ever knew) but when he found out about spark and took it seriously, it kicked my butt into gear. He's now in the BEST SHAPE of his life and he doesn't have time to be on here. He sparks at lunch and just before we go to bed.

    So do this FOR YOU and do it for your wife!

    THE SPARK is the place to be if want to learn how to eat healthy! You can also start a fitness that is good for you.
    There are many teams that you can join.
    Everyone here is so helpful! If you have questions just ask away!
    The best thing that I like is that they don't push you. You take it day by day!
    You can make many friends!
    We also have a lot of fun. You earn trophies for different things.
    I hope this helped some.

    I make time for SparkPeople for many reasons. First of all, it's a lot of fun. This site is educational and very encouraging. I get sparked every time I log on. Before joining SparkPeople, I didn't track anything. Now, I track everything. I can see where my faults are and know where I can improve to lose weight while exercising at my own speed.

    Articles are so interesting, reading up on subjects I never had an idea about.....it's a huge learning experience for me. You become involved and you get rewards, trophies, points.......it's so much fun!

    I am committed to a healthier lifestyle and open to do whatever it takes to succeed. I've been a member for a month and will be a 'forever member' from now on!
