Did Good Until the Milkshake

Friday, April 06, 2007

Wow! I thought I had a great day, because all I had all day was oatmeal and toast, and a 100-calorie granola bar. I got chicken for dinner, and since I had such a good day, splurged on a small milkshake.

Now, I get my chicken (and milkshakes) from Tastee Freeze in my local home town, but that restaurant is not on the food lists anywhere. So the best I can do is compare it to KFC chicken and McDonald's milkshakes. Well by the time I was done entering it, I was over my daily limit by more than 300 calories!!! OMG! Does a milkshake really have almost 600 calories in it??????? I almost died!!!!!!!!!!

Needless to say, I was quite bummed out, and now I know to stay away from milkshakes!!!!!!!! I spent two hours online tonight researching smoothie recipes! LOL!

You could always make your own milkshake. Use nonfat milk and frozen yogurt. That way you can control it. Did you try seeing if TasteeFreeze has a website with the nutritional value listed??Or you could always ask while your there to see if they know the calorie count and such. Love and miss! So glad your losing again!
