LOL, we all feel that way after 22 miles, the good news that is as bad as it gets.
You done it! You've faced the hardest part of running a marathon.
On the IT band, be careful of side to side swing of your arms, swing your arms from the shoulder, front to back, avoid letting your arms cross in front of you.
On the eating load up on is mineral, push for potassium, 5000 plus mgs. (I eat couple large potatoes, the day before) If you lose the potassium or sodium, during the run, your body will not have a way to get the glyo to the muscles.
WELL DONE!!! WAY to GO!!!

Laurie, you don't mention how much or how often you ate during the run. You can't run 22 miles just on fuel consumed before the race. 20 miles is (more or less) the amount of glycogen that can be stored in the muscle. (Hey, wait, when do you start boinking?) Eating more before just ensures that your glycogen stores are as full as possible. They still must be replenished during those long runs or races.

That was awesome! Thanks for sharing your run with us. I read somewhere that the real carb loading should be 2 days before the actual race, not the day before as is commonly accepted. Anyway, you have a handle on it now. That's what these long runs are for. Congratulations, and keep up the spirit. We can do this!!!

Thanks for the review of your long run. I am sorry to read about the end of the run, but it looks like you did a good post analysis and found out where the issues are. I think you are right it could be the calories throughout the week and perhaps not enough carbs during the run.
My fuel/hydration was refined from an ultrarunning podcast - I now add maltodextrin to my water, and I have invested in a Nathan water vest. I like how it fit. When you are done you rinse it out - and dry it inside out instead of the traditional Camelbak.
The weather here is warm and damp. I did a puny 10 miler today.

22 miles is a lot to take in and you did great!
To be honest the way my training runs are going I am not looking forward to the 20/22 milers. It is still very hot and humid here. I am super jealous you had some cooler weather to run in!!
For long runs I fuel two days before and that really helps.
