Why hello there!

Friday, August 17, 2012

So I haven't been on here, but I've been going to the gym and a trainer since Feb. Well, end of Feb. I think I really need to figure out my eating because it HAS to be whats holding me back.

Yeah, I'm not eating horrible, but apparently I'm not eating to lose weight either. I mean I've been working on the same 3 lbs over and over again for at least 3 months now. I go from 253 to 250 and then back up. I work out at least 3 times a week. Maybe I should get more cardio in, I've been doing a lot of weight stuff, you know, strength training. So maybe if I get some more cardio in, I will see the number go down.

And yes, I've just recently noticed that my body has changed a little. I mean I'm still in the same pants and everything, but I've noticed that some spots on me have gotten smaller, and skin has gotten saggier (is that a word? lol). So yes, I'm seeing some differences, but I really do need to lose actual weight and get smaller numbers on that scale as well. It would be different if I was at 140ish and haven't seen the scale move in a while, but I'm not.

I guess I'm just writing this because I needed to get all the thoughts out of my head and onto paper (kinda). That way I can figure things out. So it seems I need to work on food, which would be SO much easier if I lived away from home, lol. And I need to get some more cardio in. I think I can do that. I mean, I liked going out for walks in the area near my house, but its crazy hot and I started getting bad bug bites because I have to go late with this heat. So maybe I can try walking in more populated areas that have less bugs. Yay I have a plan!

Oh if yall have any tips or suggestions, let me know! :-D

    You can do it!

Also I suggest (and I know it's terribly annoying and somewhat soul-crushing) counting as many of your calories as possible. When you keep track and stay within your limits it helps tremendously.

Also, as for your walking deal, there is no crime in using bug spray. Sure it doesn't smell great, but it keeps you from getting stung. :)

I'm a fellow walker. I usually walk between 1.3 and 2.6 miles at least 3 times a week. Put on your mp3 player or cd player or the music in your head and power walk, baby!

Sorry, I'm being silly. One last hunk of workout advice and then I'll float away. Yoga is awesome. I don't care how big you are, unless you have really severe back or joint problems, yoga is great. It helps flexibility, muscle training, balance, and it relaxes you amazingly well.

Good luck with everything! Don't let the scale get you down. emoticon
