Fake it till you make it!

That's my new motto. Some days you are really not feelin it, but you need to do it anyway. USUALLY, at the end you are really glad you did.
This morning I really didn't want to get out of bed and really, really, really, really didn't feel like running. I was walking out the door and still didn't want to, but I told my little dog/running partner "Let's just do this" (sigh). Then, just to ice the cake, halfway to the park I realized I forgot my Gymboss interval timer, so I needed to use my watch for intervals.
My current strategy for weekday workouts is: (walk 5 min) (run 4 min / walk 1 min for 40 min) (leisurely cooldown/walk back home). That last part is my favorite. I call it my dessert time.
As usual, once I got started it wasn't too bad. I tooled along at a good pace. In fact, when my Garmin went off to tell me the 40 min workout time was over, I was surprised because for some reason, I had it in my head I was doing 45 min this morning.
I COULD have done another 5 min. Did I? No. I gleefully started my dessert.
In the end, I was really glad I pretended I was a runner and did my planned workout.
