Hi! I'm back from vacation and it's surreal. I had a great time - my only complaint is that we never found time to go kayaking - and we enjoyed a really tough 2 hour hike, attempted mountain biking, walked all over cute Camden, Maine, and visited both of my grandmothers (who are both loving at 85 and 90 years old, respectively!) I found time for a sweet road ride on my own, but I didn't go all that far because the area where we camped is ridiculously hilly. Overall, everything was FANTASTIC.
Now we've been back home for a day, and I managed to smash my left pinkie toe on a table leg this morning. Now it's all swollen and bruised (possibly broken? Who knows with toes, especially pinkie toes...) and looks freakish, but I'm amused that I managed to hurt myself at home in my apartment rather than running around in the wilderness for a week. I have a school orientation tomorrow, but suddenly that's up in the air again (STRESS!) Apparently as an undergrad my school let me take out $653 more than the undergrad subsidized student loan limit. That sounds so inconsequential, but it's the last stumbling block for me finalizing my financial aid - I have to try to get something called a reaffirmation from my lender, which means I agree to pay back that extra 650 bucks someday. But some lenders don't give that? And if I can't get it, I can't get financial aid. ARGH! I'm pretty burned out by this process at this point, and I've been working toward becoming an LMT for a long time, but now I'm at the point where I'll follow up with the lender, but if it doesn't work out than it just wasn't meant to be. Better to avoid the extra thousands of dollars of debt and find something else to do with my life than deal with endless stress...
Anyway, the vacation was lovely and everything I'd hoped. And now, we're full swing into fall and busy activity. PLUS, I have a big interview tomorrow, so all of my plans might just turn on their head in an instant. I know it sounds like I'm all over the place, but at least it's with positive things!
