Met A Sparkfriend: Boston meet Philly!

I am so excited I got to meet a spark friend in person! Pointafter and I have been corresponding for a while now. We have so much in common and she truly has become someone I can tell anything to.
I live in Boston and she about an hour from Philly. I had never been to Philly and wanted to see the sights. It is a rare thing for me to have a weekend completely to myself and a 6 hour drive one way was just what I needed to decompress from the the last 6 months of being a single mother.
I am a free spirit with a huge amount of wanderlust. I love traveling and meeting locals. And I must say that Philly is the city of Brotherly Love. Never in my travels have I met such warm and easy to connect with individuals. There is this blanket of genuineness, acceptance and friendliness that doesn't compare with other parts of the country.
I was at the hotel talking with some people and it was so awesome to see strangers connecting over the shared experience of driving to some district of Philly where they make soft pretzels just to get them hot and warm at 4 in the morning . Their mouths were watering and they we in heaven recalling their memories of warm fresh soft pretzels. I think the soft pretzel is to Philly what sourdough is to San Francisco and what "Lobsta" is to New England.
My Sparkfriend and I met in Valley Forge, Pa. In true Spark spirit we walked around the national park for about an hour an half for what I guess to be somewhere around 4 miles. The weather was not ideal and we got caught in a downpour; hence our hair issues, lol.
After our walk we found a restaurant and had a lovely lunch. It is so awesome when you connect with someone on so many levels. I only wish we lived closer so we could spend more time together. She is definitely a keeper!
