Foggy Mornings

Sunday, September 09, 2012

The air outside is tinged with fall smells. The fog is thick and laying a beautiful blanket in midair. The storms from the past few days have left their mark, from downed trees and branches to a roof in the neighbors pool, we can learn from Mother Nautre. No matter what happened there is a promise of something beautiful waiting for us, after the storm.
Whether you believe in God or in another High Power, we cannot get through life alone. We need help, we need companionship, we need accountability.
Losing weight is my current storm, getting healthy is the beauty that awaits! I can visualize myself back in that healthier, trimmer, fitter body and it brings a smile to my usually frowning or neutral face.
Visualize something better today. Work at it, move toward it.

Using the metaphore "storm" for the journey of losing weight is great. For me, there is no end to this storm, like the great spot on Jupiter.

I am sitting here by my open window with the sharp cool air engulfing me in my recliner.Who would ever guess I would have a blanket wrapped around me. After many humid days & the stormy weather that made the next day's air hang heavy with humidity we finally have a break in the weather.Last night I went over to visit my 82 year old Mom she was crying ,because she said she went out side & seen a rainbow she said it was a promise from God that he would take care of things. Then she had her neighbors who are Christians come visit her, That was beautiful because everything has a reason & timing . Her friends came when she needed them. Sometimes we need to hear things from other folks to feel better. Everything they said I had been telling her. When they told her she felt much better. So blessings sure come when you need them.
