When I get the RV back this week (hope, hope) my travel and leisure schedule really takes off! Since I took the time to jot the next two months out in an email to my wife and my MIL, thought I might as well copy and paste them here for your entertainment!

Wow, as I look this over now I'm pretty much on schedule, a few bumps along the way with the RV, but the biggest bump is being called back to work! I have worked part time in Cape May on the project I managed from 10/11 to 6/12 and spent some 1/2 days back in the office these past couple weeks...32 hours total.

After returning from CT on 10/9, it's back to work full time on 10/10...but I still may have my Thanksgiving week trip to look forward to...company was open to my plans.

    How things change!

Sounds like fun. Wish I were going. Have a great time and a great birthday. I know you'll keep us up on your activities. Keep a bottle of water on hand at all times and instead of grabbing a snack that might not be healthy. You've been doing great and still have a few days to make the good eating more of a habit. I know you like to cook, I don't remember if you use the crockpot much, but that has always been my saving grace when travelling.

Make sure you ALWAYS have on-plan foods on hand, including some appetizing foods so you don't look in the cupboard and go blah. If exercise is a challenge, set a minimum goal--e.g., 10 minutes every morning no matter what or where--and hopefully that minimum will turn into more. Or change into workout clothes at certain time every day (e.g., after lunch) so you'll be ready. Enjoy your fall. We'll be here!

The roof had a couple tears in it, needed replacement. Also, the rear wall separated from the floor, needed to be fixed.

Maine & New Hampshire are cool in early October, sometimes even around freezing at night, but the sun can warm the days up into the 60s. Once in a while we even have seen a dusting of snow, definitely frost on the ground in the early morning.

Gerry, Sounds absolutely fantastic! So glad that you are getting the MH back and will be able to MAKE all those trips! What was wrong with the roof? Sure was a major overhaul!
I would LOVE to take the trip right behind you up into ME/NH, I have never been in either state. Did make it to upstate NY and Vermont last fall though, that was wonderful! Do you suspect it will be pretty cold up there this time of the year?

Have a wonderful birthday and please be safe! You are planning on a lot of miles. We will help to keep you in line, just do what Sharon says, don't treat it as a time to eat whatever you want! Stick to the program. I always pack lots of fresh produce when we take our RV out, and lots of water!

Just remember RVing is a way of life for the few and lucky! Don't treat it as a vacation where you can eat anything you want. Keep in touch with SP and your teams. You'll do just fine with our support and encouragement!

It also sounds like a fun filled fall - so go and enjoy yourself!
