Grand Plans...into Action

The word Action has so many connotations, and one just came to me that is negative. My former boss would send out many emails. The ones that said, "Action" were to require an immediate response. However, most of them said it, which diluted the impact of the immediacy.
I have a grand plan, indeed:
Going to bed between 7 and 8 hours before a wake up time that allows me 30 minutes of exercise (either video or outside run/walk with the dog). Exercising with a friend will be a "bonus" activity, rather than the only activity of the day. When I exercise, I tend to drink more water because I drink a cup or so before, and up to 3 after, and then I'm "thirsty" for it the rest of the day. More sleep also means less eating to keep energy level up. It's a win-win-win-win-win plan! :)
Have I started it? Um, no. INaction is a better direction. Why not? Well, lots of excuses, none of them very meaningful. I've also not been involved on SP much at all (barely any, really). What is it going to take?
