A NSV...I think:)

Saturday, September 22, 2012

So, a few weeks ago I was bemoaning the fact that no one at my work seemed to notice my weight loss. At the time I had lost 50 lbs and thought I really looked different, so why weren't they noticing? Well now I'm hovering around 55 lbs. gone and it seems like a light must be shining on me because all of a sudden everyone seems to have noticed and complimented me! I know it shouldn't matter, and I am doing this for me, not for them, but it really feels great and satisfying!

It's funny because 50(ish) pounds down seems to be when people noticed with me too. To me it was such a huge amount and I couldn't understand why people didn't notice before, but once I hit that 50 pound mark, everyone took notice. I just need to get there again!

    Good job!! emoticon

emoticon emoticon It does feel great to be recognized and acknowledged. I just worked with a woman yesterday whom I hadn't seen in many months, so she noticed and complimented me right away. But the gradual changes take a lot longer for people to mention. And frankly, some folks are so lost inside their own dramas, pain, or lives that they aren't that aware of the people around them.

Really glad you are getting that positive reinforcement. And hoping you take time every day to compliment *yourself* on your progress and the healthy and loving choices you are making for YOU! emoticon

Great for you!! I think we see it in ourselves before anyone else, but sometimes that's not true! Sometimes OTHERS notice our weight loss before we see the changes. It is very satisfying when someone else notices. Kudos and keep up the good work.

emoticon on your weight loss!! It really does feel good when others notice and complement. Sometimes we are the reason no one mentions it. Maybe YOU are the light that is shining now! Your probably walking around with a little more bounce in your step and a bigger smile on your face. Maybe now you are wearing something a little more daring then before. Sometimes it takes the inside of us to catch up with the changes on the outside. Also remember, when you see someone almost everyday we don't always catch on to the difference.

Definitely a NSV. The people I work with started to notice when I had to buy clothes that fit. I was wearing clothes that were too big. When I bought some that fit, they noticed. Feels great doesn't it?

Congratulations and keep up the great work.
