BACK and Life as a mom of 2

Friday, September 28, 2012

Wow! A lot has changed in the last 10 almost 11 months!!!

First off i noticed my last blog entry was 4 (count that ... 4) days before i found out i was in fact pregnant with number 2 (oops lol) .... I find it kind a funny considering the topic was stretch marks and mommy scars LOL.... (ps this one didnt leave me with any new ones YAY)

This is a pic from a few days before Leigha got here

Leigha Rose made her grand enterance 8-21-12 after 23.5 hours of labor and the last 6 of is spent hallucinating (it was fun lol). Leigha is now almost 6 weeks old and has had an adventuresome start to life. day 5 of life she was life flighted from our smallish town to a major childrens hospital 2 hours away. she was on meds to keep her heart going, fully vented and not breathing AT ALL on her own and in full grand-mal seizure even with 3 different seizure meds on board when i watchd the helecopter lift off (still cry every time i think about it). after over 150 different lab tests and procedures and every thing they could thing of that could have caused her symptoms having been ruled out the Conclusion is unspecified brain bleed not caused by stroke or any other explanable internal trauma so assumed to be birth injury (pretty common, issues are whats not common). EEG showed abnormal brain activity so shes home on seizure meds and I am happy to say shes not had a seizure since she was 19 days old. Thankfully she is an easy going baby and is almost never fussy ( she has yet to truly cry... duck for cover ...sorry mamas lol)

Through all of this, 2 weeks away from mom, new little sis in the hospital and right after her dad took off for parts unknown following what ever whim led him away this time my 9 year old has been an AMAZING trouper and its doing well in all aspects of life.

And now on to me.... hmmm where to start. My day starts at 5-5:30 am when bug wakes up for her first morning snack. then its back up again at 6 am (if i have mangaed to catch a few more winks) when i get the big kid outta bed to get ready for school. big kid is off to school by 7:10, and then its meds down the hatch for Leigha. After that it changes daily, right now i have Leigha's round of doc visits (2 hour drive each way), all of haileys after school activities (and they are numerous) plus i am working almost full time in my boyfriends company office, and by working i mean I am the only one handling it all at this point. I cloth diaper(obviously something that cant be skipped) and am also 50% of the support team for my mom (whos not old but almost 100% disabled) and all of her medical needs: IE doc appts, med scheduled, RX pick up and drop off, dietitian ect. somewhere in here i have to shove the exercise and healthy eating back in... I say back in because i threw up for 9 months and never ate the same thing twice. it got to the point where if it looked like it would stay down, no matter what it was, i ate it (and still lost almost 20 lbs). I was also on bed rest for the last 12 weeks of pregnancy and so my muscles took a beating. photo below is the day i found out i was preg and 5 weeks after delivery!

all that being said I would not trade this life for the world!! My world feel whole, like all the missing peices are finally in place... Now all i need to do is make this peice a litte smaller LOL

This is my starting point today!
