Finally got the tail light fixed.

Saturday, September 29, 2012

My friend was hurting too bad to change the tail light, so I called Honda. I figured I might get charged a lot of money...but it was only $4.36 and no labor. They are pretty good to me at Honda and since I have all my service work done there now...they don't charge labor on everything. Especially little stuff! Nice! Now I can drive around and not worry about a ticket!

Next I need to have my rear brakes done. Always something....but they are making noises when I turn corners, so it is definitely time!

I went to my emoticon thank you lunch at PLUK yesterday. I ate more than I should as pizza is my weakness! But thanks to working out at the pool the scale didn't show too much damage today! I will be watching better starting on October 1st. I am doing the 25 pound challenge with my 100 pounds + in a year team. I haven't been in the challenge at all this year. Just haven't been losing or exercising for the beginning of the year.

emoticon I have changed that by going to the pool at least 3 times a week for the last month. Now I even have a swimming friend at the gym. emoticon Makes going to the gym more fun and I stay in the pool longer!!

Well, we have another 80 degree day expected in beautiful Billings, Montana. If it stays at that or below I am happy! They blew all the water out of the sprinklers at our apartment yesterday. A sign they are done watering for the year. Guess it will be October 1st on Monday, so it is time to stop watering.

emoticon I am pleased with the fall weather and have started to wear jeans more often. I have still been wearing flip flops, but the tennis shoes will come soon. emoticon Halloween is close and knowing how fast the year is going it will be here before you know it! I don't even buy candy as none of the kids in this complex even come to our building. But before Halloween is Columbus Day. Not celebrated much here although some of the banks will be closed. I don't think the kids get it off from school, but I would imagine that the post office and other Federal Offices will be closed. Another reason to take the day off for them! emoticon

It won't be long and the holiday season will be upon us in full swing. I am ready for Christmas and probably not going anywhere special for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I will probably make my last trip to Greybull to visit my sister and b-i-l in October. His birthday is Nov. 2, so will take down birthday and Christmas presents then. I haven't been down to Greybull for awhile. I haven't driven out of town since my arthritis has been acting up so bad. I will make the one last trip and hopefully since I have been swimming I won't hurt too bad!!

I am sure they will be up to shop for Christmas, so will probably see them closer to Christmas. I am ready for a quiet holiday. Might have Jimmy and Ethan over sometime, but not making a big dinner for Thanksgiving or Christmas. That is my plan now anyway.

Well, guess I am getting a bit ahead of myself with thinking about the holidays. Just glad I don't have to spend any money on presents. That is done thanks to clearance shopping throughout the year. emoticon

Well, guess I will close this blog. Have an awesome weekend!!

I can never figure how to change a light on the car. Or the rear wiper blade! Why does it have to be so hard? Men's fault LOL!
Oct 1 is Monday, but it sure doesn't seem like it! At least it's cooling down a night!

Good for you getting that Christmas shopping done! I started back in August and have everything for everyone besides our immediate family. I guess I better start thinking about that!
