Progress Report/4th Quarter Goals:
Sunday, September 30, 2012
Amazingly we are already beginning the 4th qtr. Time has flown by, and the year will be over before we know it. Today I reviewed my goals for 2012, and decided on a progress report. It’s time to evaluate my progress on this year’s goals, plans for the end of 2012, and begin evaluating plans for 2013. I need to spend some time really thinking about 2013 goals. I’ve been maintaining this weight now for over 2.5 years. Although I’m doing something I’ve never done by finally maintaining, and I’m so grateful for it, but it feels kind of stagnant at times. Sooo.. I need a shake-up, different exercises, different challenges, etc. For now I’ll focus on 2012.
My life goals are to consistently Pray, Eat, Move, and Live a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
To summarize, I’ve done very well consistently maintaining my goals, and life goals. I’m growing spiritually and continue devotionals and bible study. I try to make a difference, be more thoughtful and perform Random Acts of Kindness. I’ve checked off a number of dreams fulfilled, and I’ve updated my Dream Board with new dreams. I remain active and continue regular toning, cardio, and add in some fun exercise too. I participate in many on-going challenges, plus I have personal mini-challenges which keep me challenged has well.
My main challenge right now is my Pantry Challenge. I’ve done well with this personal challenge, and have exceeded my expectations. This has really helped me with cooking and experimenting more frequently, getting organized, being a better planner, and reducing trips to, and $$$ spent in the store, while making use of what is on hand first and having less waste. Another benefit is that I am enjoying my own food more than eating out, especially my homemade soups, casseroles, and crock pot meals. This challenge will remain a permanent one.
My plan for the rest of 2012:
Begin preparing for the upcoming birthdays and holidays by reducing sweets and treats, exercising stricter portion control, planning healthier meals, increasing batch cooking, and experimenting more using the crock pot, smoker, and cedar planking.
Focus on consistent, more beneficial exercise, while enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. I love Fall! Experiment with different exercises, and learn something new like Yoga, and maybe some type of dancing. I still need to work on more “fun” activities as well.
Re-evaluate gift giving ideas for Christmas, possibly making donations on behalf of others, and/or giving healthy simple gifts. We all have more than we need, helping others would be nice.
Continue living a balanced, healthy lifestyle physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually!
Thank you to all of my Sparklers for your support and friendship. I couldn't do this without you!
