Genealogy Weekend
Sunday, October 14, 2012
Hi all,
Had a great fall weekend doing some genealogy with old friends. We meet at the library in the small town and take it over. The librarian is a fantastic one for local genealogy and helps us by setting up a few speakers. Some people do side trips to the court house for vital records or land records. It is a good time.
I slept in both days and didn't do alot of genealogy-but did find major clues for another generation back on one of my lines to Ireland! Way cool! I will need to piece more in, but it is a great jump on a line that I've worked for a few years.
We also go out to eat each evening at a local restaurant. Had some great food and the fall leaves were starting to change. Weather was nice in the 70s also.
Oldest church still standing on original site in Indiana built around 1820. And a touch of the fall color around the edges!
Have a good week! Diana
